Chesapeake NEMO helps communities in the Chesapeake watershed and Maryland and Virginia coastal bays foster well-planned growth, preserve water quality and protect natural areas.
Chesapeake NEMO provides communities with educational programs emphasizing natural resource-based planning and better site design. We deliver free technical help and leveraged financial assistance, helping communities implement sound planning and watershed protection.
Chesapeake NEMO draws its name (Network for Education of Municipal Officials) from a program now operating in more than 30 states and focusing on educating local land use decision makers about the links between land use and natural resource protection.
