Conservation and Restoration
Need help funding conservation or restoration?
Several NEMO partners fund actions to implement conservation or restoration programs. Many types of projects are eligible; a few examples include:
- Permanently protecting valuable forest or farm land through implementing a local land conservation strategy
- Restoring stream corridors, such as planting and maintaining forest buffers
- Putting in place low-impact development practices to reduce the effects of new development
- Restoring wetlands and tidal marshes
How have communities used funding sources to help carry out these types of conservation and restoration? Here are a couple of examples, and how NEMO can help.
