Forests and Your Community
This workshop focuses on the values provided to communities by trees and forests, and on the steps for conserving forest resources. It provides an overview of the environmental, economic, and social benefits trees provide and an introduction to five steps a community can take to conserve trees and forests. Specific real-world examples are provided for each step.
The presentation can be delivered in its entirety (about 30 minutes) or adapted for a particular need. It can be scheduled as a stand-alone presentation, or preferably, as a part of a 60-90 minute workshop to include time for discussion. All workshops are free of charge.
