Planning the Direction of Your Community
This workshop focuses on choices all communities face and on the tools and approaches your community can use for setting its direction - and reaching your destination in the future. It emphasizes factoring your community's natural resources into the direction-setting process. The workshop explains the role of comprehensive plans, community visioning, ordinances and other tools for guiding a community's future.
This workshop is an ideal follow-up to "Linking Land, Water and Growth." It can be scheduled for a separate date, or as part of a longer combined program along with "Linking Land, Water and Growth." As a stand-alone workshop, you should allow about 60 to 90 minutes, including time for discussion. All workshops are free of charge.
